Here's that used 4-stroke you've been looking for. And at a fraction of the cost of new. It has a new alternator and lower unit seals. The previous owner used it a lot so he kept up on maintenance so he could trust it. This engine is an extra long shaft model that fits on the modern 25" transom height.

This is a modern fuel injected engine with EPA 3-star rating. It runs clean and gets good fuel economy. It's designed to run on ordinary pump gas so you don't have to find the higher octane fuel without ethanol unless you want it.

We searched the history of this engine and it originally had a 3 year warranty plus a 2 year extended warranty. During those 5 years there were NO warranty claims at all. It's got a good history!

Prop could use a day at the prop shop but it's still usable.

This engine will work with most Mercury shifters with the addition of a wiring harness adapter. So if you are buying this engine for a Merc equipped boat, it will likely need very little in the way of parts to fit your boat.

We updated the engine for you: new water pump impeller, new bellows, new gimbal bearing, new distributor cap and plug wires. Call it a super tune-up! Ready for your family. We put in a new shift cable for you as well.

There's a challenge or two: it has a dented port side rear corner. The gelcoat has cosmetic cracking--fairly common on fiberglass boats of this era. It has a mismatched rear seat cushion. It's priced accordingly...

Compared to the price of a new boat like this it's pretty inexpensive. We tried to update anything that we thought could cause problems so you don't have to worry. Oh, the tires on the trailer are pretty much new. Check the photos then come buy your new boat!

Montana is a great place to buy a pre-owned boat! Typically, used boats in the mountain states region have fewer hours on the engine than used boats in states that stay warm all winter. Montana boats live their lives in fresh water which is greatly preferred over boats with years of salt water corrosion out at the coast. We have no waters with invasive zebra mussels to plug up water intakes, we have none of the barnacles or other creatures growing on hulls out here. We don't have the blazing desert sun to cause fading or cracking on plastic parts. Our legendary low humidity means uphostery doesn't deteriorate as quickly, carpets don't mold, inside hatches and storage areas don't get musty like they do in wetter states...a used boat from Montana is almost always preferable to used boats from other parts of the country.
